Interesting ice
This is a start of a collection of pictures of ice that has interesting features.

The pictures are of snow-fall-ice. They were taken by Tom Duca.
Picture 2 below. These pictures are unusually clear and smooth.
Snow fall ice is ice falling into snow. It is seen before the slush begins to refreeze. It is next to shore and wind and waves and current are light allowing laminar flow. These pictkures are exceptional in clairity and smoothness.
TThese pictures were found when the slush was still soft and uniform. Usually snow fall ice is found after it is fully frozen.
