This is the center section of Norway pond.  Steve Pope took drone pictures unless otherwise stated.

The formation is almost all arcs with only a few ring families.

It froze with Ice Rings and ice Arcs on most  of the surface. The rings  came in during an 18" snow storm.  This resulted in significant differently appearances than the other ring formation events:

1992: Shelburne Pond CT: The most detailed images we have.  More features in the mid to large size easy to see.

Dead Creek VT: 2013:

Shelburne Pond 2016: good darcy flow  patterns,  Large (20M?) first and second ring.

Shelburne Pond 2017: Typical of Shelburne 2018.  Limated area with formations.

Shelburne Pond 2018 Southern end of pond had many ring formations.  Faint rings,

Norway Pond 2018? Similar to Norway 2020 in terms of ring seporation and appearance of the rings.  An important difference is

Norway Pond 2020: 18" snow over 3 days.  Ice arcs more common than Rings.  Ring formation often formed in a darker grey  visible on the pond about half way through the storm.

Ring seporation distance often over 2 M.  Ice sheet probably 25 mm.  Lake Stars are faint, small and hard to see.  It looks like the big snowstorm hid many of the 30 cm scale features.

Winnipsauke 2020: Similar to Shelblurne Pond.  Formed in deep water. Just a few ring families
